From 2008 until 2010 I had a 22 piece orchestra called “HiTEC” (Histrionic Thought Experiment Orchestra) whose members were called “Systems Managers” because we conducted “Systems Management” according to a complex series of rules activated by the spinning of a wheel-of-fortune. One of the Systems to be Managed was called “Avicenna’s Floating Systems Manager” in which we were to imagine what we would do if we didn’t have bodies. One of the HiTEC members, David Bernabo, liked a vocal approach that I tried as a ‘solution’ to that Thought Experiment & asked me to do something similar to it for a project of his. Standing in an enclosed breezeway, I had David record me from a window adjoining it & 15 feet or so above me. As such, the recording has an exceptional acoustic reverb. One of my prized moments is the combined tongue-clucking with vocalizing. David didn’t use the recording so this is its premier.
