Here Come the Warm Regards ~ ( A Tribute to Brian Eno ),
released September 1, 2020
At first I thought, oh! a tribute to Brian Eno, how nice.Brian Eno songs cover, that I haven't thought of it myself yet! Of course, I've been playing
"Hereos" by David Bowie and Brian Eno for some time now.
I love "By this river", but it is a song that is very much based on syntheziser sounds. So I started
listening to Brian Eno songs from "Another Green World". I started to play "Golden Hours", but my
choice became "St. Elmo's Fire".
I recorded, sang and mixed the song last weekend from Saturday night to Monday morning. It is
something very special for me to record a song of my heroes Brian Eno and Robert Fripp!
For this I used the following instruments: Acoustic and electronic guitar, my voice and a percussion
app called Impaktor. Everything was recorded with and on an iPad 3. Also an eeepc with Linux.
With this and the ipad I created the video. I would like to upload it to youtube, but I still have some
problems with it, because my iPad and macmini are still doing a good job, but the browsers that
can still be used for it are too old... I don't give up and I believe that with Linux there will be a way.
I wish you that you like and enjoy my interpretation, it has given me a lot of pleasure and work. - To
paraphrase Carl Valentin, who said "Art is beautiful, but it's a lot of work".
